THE FOOD

What's in my share?  

We curate and deliver a share of protein, veggies, fruit, grains, and specialty items every week:

  • Fruits and Vegetables (about a pint each)
  • Proteins (about a pound each)
  • Dairy and Eggs (about 1/4 lb cheese, 6 eggs, 12 oz yogurt each)
  • Grains (a small loaf of bread or 1/2 lb pasta each)
  • Special Treats

The selection of food in your share changes every week. You can choose your share when you sign up, and adjust it at any time. If anyone in your family has allergies or aversions, please let us know and we'll make sure not to include those items in your share.

Where does your food come from?

The food comes from local farms and food purveyors. Check our our Farmers and Purveyors for more info.

What if something is missing or broken in my share?

We work with organic farmers and your vegetables come directly from the farm, without stopping at a food processing facility. This helps us deliver fresh, delicious, and healthy food, but you may find a bit of dirt or a bug here or there. If there's ever anything wrong with your order, let us know so we can fix it or make it up to you in the next week's share.

How do I cook this stuff?

We'll send you a newsletter each week that tells you exactly what is in your share, where it came from, and a couple of suggested recipes.  

 

    DELIVERIES

    When are deliveries?

    We deliver weekly on Saturday mornings and early afternoons. You'll receive a text message from us when we're on our way.

    How do I skip a week?

    Let us know by Sunday before midnight if you'd like to change or suspend your order for the following week. This helps us order the right amount of food each week and helps us reduce waste. Here are the step by step instructions:

    1. Login and visit your Account page. You can follow this Account link or click on the little person icon on the top right-hand corner of your screen:Click on the login icon.
    2. Click on Manage Subscription to view your current and upcoming orders.Click on the manage subscription link.
    3. Click on the Manage dropdown and select Upcoming Orders.  Click on upcoming orders.
    4. Click on Skip Order to skip any upcoming week. Note that orders are placed on Monday and deliveries are made the following Saturday or Tuesday, depending on the delivery window you've selected. In order to skip your delivery for any given week, you'll want to skip your order for the previous Monday. For instance, to skip delivery on Saturday 05-19 or Tuesday 05-22, you should skip your order for the previous Monday 05-14.Click on skip order.
    5. You can also choose to Resume Shipment on Sunday before midnight in case you make a mistake or change your mind for the following week's order. This will ensure that your order is processed on Monday and delivery will be scheduled for the following Saturday.  Click on resume shipment.

    How do I change my subscription?

    Changing your product subscription can a little tricky. Our ordering system requires that you keep at least one subscription active, so you'll need to add the new product before removing or unsubscribing from an old one. Here are the step by step instructions:

    1. Login and visit your Account page. You can follow this Account link or click on the little person icon on the top right-hand corner of your screen:
    2. Select the new product and add this to your existing subscription by clicking on Adding to Your Existing Subscription on the product page: 
    3. When the confirmation popup appears, click on View Order:Click on view order.
    4. This will bring you back to your Account Page after you've added the new product to your existing subscription.  You can also navigate to your Account Page by logging in.
    5. Click on Manage Subscription to view your current and upcoming orders.Click on manage subscription.
    6. Click on the Manage dropdown and select "Product (Qty)".  Click on product (qty).
    7. Remove the unwanted product by changing the product quantity to "0" or clicking on the delete icon next to the unwanted product, then click on the Update button to save your changes.
    8. Click update on the Product (Qty) modal to confirm that your changes were saved correctly.Click on product (qty).
    9. You should see that you subscription has been changed to the new product that you selected.  Click Close or Update to exit this popup and return to the store.Click on cancel or update.

      What if I'm not home when you deliver?

      If you're not home, please leave us more detailed delivery instructions and we'll do our best to accommodate your requests. We put your health and safety above all else, so we won't leave your food if we don't think it will be safe. You can always pick it up in the next couple of days, if you need to - just let us know.

       

      REFERRALS

      How does your referral program work?

      Let's go 50/50! When your friends use your referral link to join Family Dinner, they'll get 50% off of their first week. If they sign up, then we'll send you a code for 50% off of a week of food. Thanks for spreading the love! 

      Where is my referral link?

      You'll receive an email invitation to refer friends after you order your first order. We'll also send you a periodic reminder emails with a referral link that you can share with friends. All they have to do is click on the link that you give them, copy the discount code that is provided, and check out on our website.

      Where is my referral reward?

      When your friends sign up, you'll receive an email with a referral reward code.  You can apply this referral reward code by logging into your account and entering that code on your my account page.

      2. Click on Manage Subscription to view your current and upcoming orders.Click on manage subscription.
      3. Click on the Manage Discount, add your discount code, and click update.

      Can I customize my order?

      While we don't provide completely a la carte shares, we do let you choose add-ons to your weekly share, so that you can count on a few staples every week. If anyone in your family has allergies or aversions, please let us know and we'll make sure not to include those items in your share.
